Sign-in never shows the Allow button

Only accounts on a dealership’s team can connect apps. Accept your AutoFire team invitation first, then connect again.

”This sign-in is not connected to an AutoFire dealership”

The app’s connection was disconnected in the dashboard, or the dealership was removed. Remove AutoFire from the app and connect it again to choose a dealership.

401 Unauthorized

  • Signed-in apps: reconnect so the app can refresh its tokens.
  • Keys: confirm the header uses Bearer, followed by one space and the complete key, which begins with af_mcp_live_.
  • Check Dashboard → MCP & API for expiration, revocation, or disconnection.
  • Restart the client after updating its environment variable.

403 Forbidden

The credential is valid but does not authorize the requested operation. Reconnect with the permission selected, or create a new key with it; existing keys cannot be expanded after creation.

Tool is missing

AutoFire advertises only tools authorized by the credential. Also check client-side enabled_tools or tool allowlists.

413 Request too large

The MCP request exceeded 128 KiB. Shorten the tool arguments or send fewer at once. AutoFire list tools already cap results at 50.

429 Too many requests

Honor the Retry-After header, slow the workflow, and avoid retry loops. Use pagination and cache non-sensitive results inside your approved workflow where appropriate.

Monthly allowance used

The error names the plan’s limit and the reset date. Usage is shown under Dashboard → MCP & API. Upgrade the plan under Manage subscription for a higher limit; see MCP security.

Vehicle or lead not found

The record may not exist, or it may belong to a different dealership. Cross-dealership UUIDs intentionally return no data.

Still blocked

Send the approximate timestamp, client name/version, HTTP status, and the key prefix or app name shown in the dashboard to AutoFire support. Never send the complete key or customer data.
