Connect your own domain so shoppers visit yourdealership.com instead of your AutoFire address.
Custom domains are included on every paid plan and during your Pro trial. Free sites use yourdealership.goautofire.com.

Step 1: Add your domain

  1. Go to Website → Domain.
  2. Enter your domain without http:// or www., like yourdealership.com.
  3. Click Add Domain. The Domain tab then shows the DNS records to add.

Step 2: Add the DNS records

Sign in where your DNS is managed. That is usually the company where you bought your domain, like GoDaddy or Cloudflare. Add each record exactly as the Domain tab shows it, then save. Copy the values from the dashboard, since they can differ from one domain to the next. Visitors to www are sent to your main domain automatically, so you don’t need to set up a redirect.
Not sure who manages your DNS? Send these records to your domain company or your web person, and they can add them for you.

Step 3: Check your domain

DNS changes can take up to 24–48 hours to spread. Back on the Domain tab, click Check Verification. AutoFire also checks for you every minute for the first 10 minutes after you add the domain.

HTTPS

HTTPS is set up for you once your domain is verified. There is no certificate to buy or install.

Keep your email working

Pointing your website to AutoFire does not change your email, as long as you leave your email records alone.
  • Do not delete or change your MX records. They control email delivery.
  • Keep your SPF, DKIM, and DMARC TXT records as they are.
  • Only add or change the web records the Domain tab shows.

If your trial or plan ends

Your domain stays connected, but visitors are sent to your AutoFire address (yourdealership.goautofire.com). Choose a paid plan and your domain starts working again within a few minutes. You don’t need to change your DNS records.

Troubleshooting

  • Remove old records for the same name, like an old www record pointing to your last website.
  • Make sure you are editing DNS where your domain is actually managed.
  • Give DNS time to spread, up to 24–48 hours, then check again.
